Clicking will not start

I changed the fuel pump, overflow tank, valve gasket and plug wires. The solenoid is clicking there's a rhythmic thumping coming from the ABS module, and won't start.

It sounds like the battery is weak and needs to be replaced. To be sure here is a guide to help confirm the issue:

I tried to jump start and nothing is working. The check engine light lights up and nothing else on the dash moves or lights up. The windows do nothing. Still is clicking and abs still thumping. That's it.

We took the battery in and they said it had 8 volts.

We charged the battery and it started up. However I'm not sure why it wouldn't jump start.
I plan on taking the battery and have it load tested, along with the alternator for the heck of it. The truck was sitting for a few weeks, I'm hoping there both still good.
