We have a 2002 chry town & country van with 106,000 miles. We pulled it in the garage and went away in our other car for a week. We may have left a light on. When we came home the battery was dead. We put a charger on it over night and it started ok. Every thing works but the dash light around speedo and tach. We could not find any blown fuses. Where should we go from here?

If the rest of the dash lights are working, it may need a new bulb. To do this the instrument cluster has to be removed. If you are going to do it, I would replace all bulbs while it is out.

J Penwell.

This is very strange, but this last Sunday driving back from Chicago, our Town and Country minivan's dash lights also failed - all of them. Can't see the speed, fuel status, etc.

We just took it to our usually trustworthy local garage and they said - two weeks at the dealership and $1200 will fix the problem. They thought it was the instrument cluster.

Coincidently, the minivan has the original battery in it - they recommended a replacement today which we agreed to, and the lights now work. Apparently, the battery just wasn't putting out enough juice and things started shutting down. Obviously, we'd rather have the dash lights go out rather than some other essential service.

Good luck!
