Frequently it will take 4-12 attempts to start the engine. I can start it easily with the remote start, but when I put the "key" in the ignition it will die immediately. With the key in the engine it sounds like it has started but when you let go it dies immediately. The dealer has tried a new key but that hasn't worked.
Suggestion?

My thought is the remote starter has a copy of your key in the decoder box, and the wire around your ignition cylinder is damaged, or not installed right. This wire reads the chip in the key, very important it's in right or the anti theft module thinks the car doesn't have the right key inserted into the lock.
