Electrical problem
2006 Chrysler Town and Country 6 cyl Automatic 46000 miles

This is an intermittent problem and has only happened a few times over the past 6 months.

It only happens during extremely wet weather and I am fairly certain that it has only happened when I have the lights on and the AC/heater is also usually running.

Without any warning, the power steering and power brakes go out. When this has happened, I have been barely able to avoid an accident because I am usually near my home traveling at low speeds. I am greatly concerned about this happening while I traveling at highway speeds.

Drive belt may need replacing also belt tensioner maybe worn not keeping belt tight. And check to see if plastic shield is in place around crank pull at right front wheel

Thanks Docfixit

I have also done other research since submitting this request and will look into water draining from the windshield onto a belt in the engine compartment. This looks promising and if it proves to not be the problem then I will look into your suggestions. Thank you for your input.
