Engine surges when we hold a steady speed between 20 and 50 MPH. Does not surge all times and surge is not consistent, can be light to heavy at times.

More than likely this is one of two things. First it is an EGR issue. This is supposed to be opened and closed based on need and if they hang open then it will cause surging issues.

Here is a guide that talks about this in a little more detail:

The next common issue is the purge valve is stuck open and causing the engine to run rich.

I am attaching info below on both these parts. I would suggest removing them and inspecting for carbon build up.

Please run through this info and let me know if you have other questions. Thanks

Hopefully I can help some people out by updating my issue with the solution for my vehicle. The EGR valve had to be replaced.
