2002 Chrysler Town and Country transmission modulator

We had the trasmission rebuilt for 1500 dollars then they called back 2 days later and said we needed a modular. Did the transmission need to be rebuilt or could they have just changd the modulator?

What was the complaint after trans was rebuilt? There is no modulator in that trans. It had a tcm Trans control module. After rebuilding overdrive transmissions such as a 604, you need to do a quick learn. It is preformed on a scanner, very important to do this.
