Electrical problem
2001 Chrysler Town and Country Front Wheel Drive Automatic 44000 miles

The passanger automatic door will unlock but the door will not open when using remote entry. We, of course, have had issues with door since owning and the dealer "adjusted" the door until no longer convered under warranty. A friend of a friend who works for Chrysler says sometimes it just a matter of 'resetting' the computer. I cringe when I think of replacing the door motor and the cost. We do not want to take it to dealer for fear of other problems found. Which has happened and we are suspcious. Our local macnic says he doesn't know what is wrong. Any suggestions?

If you can hear the motor running after the remote is pressed, you probably just need to adjust the motor and regulator. If you can't hear the motor running, the the problem may lie in bad motor or body control module.

You may want to go to another Chrysler dealership, if you are leery about the first one. You may also want to check your local yellow pages for a shop that deals more with electrical accessories (a shop that deals with sunroof, for example), rather than the mechanical parts of the vehicle.
