Electrical problem
2000 Chrysler Town and Country V8 Front Wheel Drive Automatic

My Thermometer on the trip computer readout above the windshield shows OC. This happened quite a while ago and the car has been through a crash and subsequent repair since then. The items that were replaced included paneling and a headlight (passenger side). I have been able to find a replacement sensor, but for the life of me can't find where the unit needs to be connected. Where is the Ambient Air Temperature sensor supposed to be?

Hi KC7ISD. Welcome to the forum. There is no drawing in the service manual. There is only a description that isn't very helpful. It says, from behind the bumper fascia, it is attached to the radiator closure panel. I know that doesn't say much.

I have the same problem with my '95 Caravan. The sensor was left off after a repair. The "OC" means "open circuit". In my case, the sensor is bolted to the vertical support post in front of the middle of the radiator.

Thank you for your help. Knowing what the unit looks like, and a general area, I think I can look around.
