1996 Chrysler Town and Country Car will not start

My car would stop in the middle of the road when I would drive and my check engine lite has just recently came on and now my car will not start, it will crank but the engine will not go? Please tell me what the problem could be

Have the computer scanned for code/s-you have a problem within the engine management system that caused the CEL to turn on-This is your starting point of diagnosis, finding out what's going on.
