My wife's 2000 Chrysler Sebring coupe has been very reliable. Recently it has become hard to start, it turns over fine, with no smell (no flooding), after several times of trying it will start and run fine. This doesn't happen all the time, It seems to happen when engine is cold. 2.5L V6 Mitsubishi engine.

Let's start checking these sensors: Coolant temp sensor (thermostat housing), intake air temp and manifold absolute pressure sensors (both on upper intake manifold).

Also, consider checking your fuel pressure at the fuel rail. When is the last time that you replace the fuel filter and perform a tune-up?
