Strange electrical happenings!

I have a Plymouth Grand Voyager 1996 3.8.
The wipers continue to work after turning the wiper stick to the off position. You can even turn the ignition off and the wipers carry on working.

The air conditioning and re-circulation buttons flash continuously when you start the car. They keep flashing for at least 15 minutes. Also whilst this is happening, the light displays for the rear wiper/washer buttons do not show until the other 2 buttons stop flashing!

Any thoughts?

Technical service bullitin ref # 08-36-95 may apply on the wipers. Check the ground eyelets on the engine block near the transmision dipstick tube- can have NO looseness. If that is good check for continuity from the eyelet to the grey connector E48, pin #5 on the bottom of the power distribution center.

The flashing lights means the a/c calibration and cooldown tests have failed.

Or you can contact the local auto exorcist!

I have a Plymouth grand voyager 3.8 1996

The fan blower control on the dash only works on full.
Any idea why?

I had switched over 2 relays in the power distribution box because I have had trouble with my wipers not stopping. (That seems to be a faulty relay)
I can't understand why this would have affected the fan control? It was working.
Any ideas?

Thanks
Chris

High probablity of a blower motor resistor. The new one from the dealer has been superceeded I think and may look a little fatter, thus a little more difficult to get in.
