Smells problem
1994 Chrysler Concorde 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

When I crank my car, I smell gas fumes. The car runs fine for about 30 minutes, and then lots of white smoke come out of the tail pipe. The gas fumes are stronger as well.

If you are getting a lot of white smoke, chances are you have a bad head gasket. When coolant gets in to the combustion chamber, it will burn white. As far as the fumes, if there is a cylender with low compression, it may not be burning the fuel.

Check to see if the coolant level is low and if there is any coolant mixing with the motor oil.

Let me know what you find.
