My daughter's 95 Cirrus appeared to be losing antifreeze near the bottom hose on the radiator. She took it to a local shop for an estimate and and the mechanic told her over $600.00 to fix. He said it was a corroded metal tube that connecting the water pump to the bottom hose fon the radiator. Parts needed would be a new tube, intake gasket kit, oil change, antifreeze. I am working far from home and can't go look at it myself and I don't remember how the engine is set up and I am not sure why the Intake is being removed. Does this sound like a legitimate scope of work for this repair?

I will forward this diagram to my daughter and see if this is the problem part - looks like it is and that would explain needing the intake seal kit, antifreeze and oil change. Muchas Gracias for the info.
