Fuel system

I have replaced the fuel pump, wireing harness, and filter. I am getting fuel to the engine but wont stay started, have to put fuel in the carb. But wont start once that fuel is burned up. What else could it be and how to fix. Its a 1996 chey. 1500 4.3 engine

Check engine lite came on?
- this is an OBD2 car. Can't treat it like a carburetor 86' chevy p/u. U ECM gotta get signals from the cam and crank then it fire the ignition and injectors on the TBI.

This is a throttel body injection type vehicle. This is truck and its a straight cab. No check eng. Light on we put eveythign back on and still will not start

U must verify if ur ECM is getting cam & crank signal 1st then if it does.U continue to chk if ur injectors are getting signal on / off by the ECM. Fixed tons of these TBI gm truck in the past. Should be straight forward.

Don't forget to check on fuel pump circuit ground and fuel pump relay.
