Where is the distributor bypass disconnect wire located for setting the timing. I have looked under dash, stippped all wire harness. I have the wire which is tan/with black strip, no disconnect. Production date 09/95

Here is a chart telling you how to do it. i figured it was a 5.7 but if it's a 5.0 it should be ok to do that as well.....sorry i forgot about the fast idle, check the tbi unit for a blown gasket under it. that was quite common. use choke cleaner and spray all around the base. you'll only need to replace the gasket.
