I have a 1990 Chevy CK 1500 4x4. As I come up to a stop sign or light the front end makes a whinng sound until I stop. It will make the sound more often when the truck is cold but also when warm if I have not engaged the wheel drive for a while. If I do engage the 4 wheel drive the sound will go away and come back only if the truck has sit a day or two and it is cold outside (20-30 degrees). Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

No I have not. I will have that done this week. I did however have the transmission looked at and a scan done which came up with no codes.
Thank you!
