I have an 89 chevy truck that starts but wont stay running. It is getting plenty of fuel, so I am ruling out the fuel pump and the fuel filter. The truck will start, run for about ten to fifteen seconds, then die as if the ignition was turned off. Even pumping the throttle wont keep it on. If anyone can help I am open to any suggestions you can give. Thanks

Ok I may have your answer well 3 answers it might posibly be it one is the pick up coile in side your distributor it might be getting too hot and and then causing it to shut off or the map sensor or even the fuel pump relay getting too hot and shutting down the pump
