I have a 93 chevy 1500 truck TBI 350 motor and I was driving one night and I noticed that the rpm gauge was bouncing all around but the engine was not reving up. I stoped for gas and when I got back in, the truck would not start it would just crank. I got it towed home and let it sit a week and it started right up drove it around and it did the same thing. Thought it might be a fuel pump and I could not hear it running with key in acc. I sprayed a lot of starting fluid down the throttle body and then it started right up. Let me know what is wrong thanks, bill

First fuel pump shouldn't run with key in Acc.
It runs in key on and start only.
Next it sound like you have either short or bad ground in
fuel pump circuit.
Check for fuel spray when truck won't start.

You have TBI so remove remove air cleaner assembly and look inside of throttle body to see there is a fuel comeing out from two injectors.
Let us know what you find out!
