1988 Chevy Truck 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I need a new transmission I was wondering in the transmission from my 97 chevy blazer would work in the truck

Hello,

I would so no because of all the new sensors and electronic transmissions. The newer tranny have electric Shift Selenoids in them.

You can call around to your local tranny shops or auto parts store and have them look it up for you on both vehicle and if they are the same part numbers then Yes you can use the 97 tranny in your 88.
