How to fix transfer case I think it is in nuetral when I push the buttons I can hear it tying to switch but I still dont have any gears in 2wd

Check to see if encoder motor on tcase is working may not be all theway engaged.

It happened while I was driving down the road going 70 like I lost all power I pulled over and tried all the gears and nothing not even reverse so when I got it home I tried the push buttons and I can hear it under trying to switch but nothing happens and I can put the truck in gear with it not running and I can push it easy you shouldnt be able to do that are you

Check your trans fluid if it 's dark borwn or black go right to a trans shop because I think your transmission has gone out not the tcase

The fluid is fine that why I think its th tcase I just need to know how to get it out of nuetral

That is why isaid to check encoder motor but try putting in 4wd see if it does the same. If itdoes then its' the trans. The encoder motor on tcase switches from 2 to 4wd
