1983 Chevy Truck V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

My truck smokes white smoke! I checked the oil for water but did not see any abnormal substances. The radiator was full when I last checked it (about a week ago) And now it is low.

Check your transmission fluid level.
The modulator valve may have a defective diaphram and the engine may be sucking transmission fluid and burning it.
Transmission fluid also burns white.
