When it did this my husband put in more coolant. But, when I drove only about 10 miles, the light came back on. Is there a leak and how much is it going to cost to get it fixed?

It could be a number of things causing the vehicle to overheat. While driving you should always monitor the coolant temperature gauge to avoid causing more damage. I would start with pressure testing the cooling system to see if there are any leaks.

How do you pressure test the coolant? Is it something that I will have to take to a mechanic to do and does it cost an arm and a leg?
