My 99 Tahoe has had the fuel pump replaced once 2 years ago. The shop put in a rebuilt pump and new fuel filter for $700.00 The fuel pump is going again as it starts real hard and I can hardly hear the pump run. Once it is running everything is fine. Are there any repairs or alternatives to putting a new pump in again such as an external electric pump like my street rod uses? The new quote this time around is $900.00.

Thanks

As long as the pressure is over 60#......ck this psi figure online. Pumpand filter will cost $100+...cheaper than dealer. You'll need 1 4 or 3 8 rubber hose and clamps.

Look @ pump and filter......bought @ Autozone
