I have a 1999 Tahoe. My Check engine light came on and the code showed a Mass air flow problem. I had that fixed with a used part. The next day when I got the truck back, the engine light came on again and the code stated 02 sensor. I asked the repair man if I could drive the truck with that on for a day or so to afford the repair. He told me yes. The next day I got into my truck, started it, the excellarator peddle depressed for about 5 secs, rev'd the engine and then the truck died. I have battery power but it won't turn over. Can you please tell me what is going on with the truck?

Hey QT,

I may be able to help a little. The computer will go thru self tests. Some will not run if a problem is found in an earlier self test. IF a fault is found it will set the check engine light. Once the repair is made, the computer will start the self test again and rund the test that it couldn't run earlier due to the MAF. Now it sees a second problem and again throws the light.

As far as the no start situation. Does the turn over but not start when you turn the key or does it not turn over and do nothing when you crank the key? The former may be related to the MAF/O2 situation but may not be. The latter is less likely to be related to the MAF/O2 situation.
