When attempting to start the engine just turns over. When I stop the attempt and then attempt again it starts right up. It runs fine from then on. It is just the initial startup that is the issue. I have replaced the fuel filter with no improvement. There are no codes coming from the computer. What should I do or check next?

I'd use a gage and check fuel pressure, depending on litre size of engine, 5.O and 5.7L, 59--66psi.

Try cycling the key two or three times, on and off, before cranking. It sounds like it takes a bit for the fuel system to get up to pressure.
