1999 chevy suburban, would not start. Fuel pump not coming on line when you first turn on. Replace fuel filter and it started right up. One month later it started missing and quit running. Pump not coming on line with initial turning of key and will not start. I'm thinking bad pump? I know if the relay fails this could bring on same scenario or bad oil pressure safety switch?

Have you done a fuel pressure test? You said last time you replaced the fuel filter and it started which tells me the filter was pluged putting extra strain on the pump so it probably went out. On GM's you should replace the fuel filter once a year as there media is very tight.
