1997 sub k2500 5.7 v8 vin#3GNGK26ROVG145043. My truck has a stumble/miss like a minor bucking when I drive.I changed the ign. Wires/cap/rotor/plugs/fuel filter. NO CHANGE. Then I changed the fuel pump in tank. SAME PROBLEM. Now the new problem is, sometimes it starts fine and most times now it wont start and I have to give it a shot of starting fluid. Now also when im driving I have a power loss when I first step on the gas to get going.I had to cut the factory fuel filter out because of rust and I put a inline barrel type filter in. The truck has become untrustworthy unless I carry around a can of either to get it going.

Hi bigwheel60, Welcome to 2carpros and TY for the donation

Check the fuel pressure if its within specs if okay start by testing the coolant temperature sensor its job is too tell the computer to enrich the fuel during cold starts as soon as it switches from open loop the O2 sensors will take over the fuel mixture in closed loop mode-
