I have a 2001 chevy Silverado V6. I added 5 gallons of gas and the needle registers as it has a full tank. I know that it is not registering the correct amount of fuel. Is there anyway to fix this with out changing the whole fuel pump?

If it is a fuel sender problem which it sounds like it is then you will have to drop the tank and remove the fuel pump. You can replace only the fuel sender which mounts on the fuel pump. If your truck has several miles on it and has original fuel pump you might be better off just replacing whole module. The Module includes the fuel pump with a new sender included if bought from the dealership.
