Engine Mechanical problem
1998 Chevy Silverado V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

i have a 1998 chevy 1500 with a 5.7 350 that I replaced the fuel pump, and the fuel mettering body that has new injectors and fuel pressure regulator in it that is inside the manifold, and the truck cranks and then immediately dies out, do you have any clue what my problem might be?

Does it die even while trying to modulate your throttle or do you mean that it won't idle? I had a problem on my 2000 3/4 ton where it would stay running at idle. The problem was that the positive battery cable was extremely corroded that it wasn't getting a steady voltage. I cleaned the entire cable and connector at the battery and it cured the problem.

Welcome to the forum. Cranking is starter action, are you saying the starter action dies out? If so, maybe the battery or connection. If it starts then dies, the theft system can cause that? Is the theft lite on or flashing?
