1994 Chevy Silverado Engine idel and stalls

At times engine will start as normal but will not hold idel. Some times truck will be ideling for a few minuets and enging will die. Engine runs great when being driven down the rods. It has died when coming to a stop after a long run, but had plent of gas in tank. Fuel pump has been replaced. Whai is causing engine to stall.

A couple things come to mind like a sticking egr valve or a faulty idle air control valve. First try unplugging and blocking the vacuum line to the egr valve and see if the problem goes away.
