My 93 chevy truck has a4.3 tbi motor and it want take the gas it just spits and pops but it idles fine I checked the timing and it is ok

Do a compression check, remove ALL plugs, check ALL cylinders, then if low put a few drops of oil in and retest, post findings, if it pops up thru the intake, you may have a worn cam, or bad valves.
