2001 Chevy S-10 Hard to start cold

2001 Chevy S-10 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

When you try to start it when cold it will fire and die, but not run. After trying this about a dozen times or so it will start and run. When it's warm it doesen't do like that. I have checked fuel pressure, OK, replaced crank sensor, replaced pressure reg. It acts like a car with carb. That the choke doesn't work. THANKS.
