I have a '99 V6 Chevy S10 that keeps having the same issue time and time again.
The fuel pump keeps going bad.
Currently I'm on my 3rd fuel pump
and it recently quit working (bought it new).

Before I install Fuel Pump #4,
I'd like to know it will last longer than 6 months.
Am I missing something?
Voltage to the pump is spot on.
My code reader hasnt found any trouble codes.
What else should I check?

Yes you are missing something. Look closely at the connector for the fuel pump and you will see one terminal bigger than the rest or the connector slightly melted. This is very common. Gm sells the connector with new wire ends to correct this problem and also make sure to use ac delco fuel pumps. They are the only ones that seem to last.

The 1st time out I replaced the pigtail.
I've checked it for damage since then,
I havent seen any.
I'll give the AC/Delco pump a try.

Anybody need 2 slightly used Carter Furl Pumps?
Lol

Thanks Tim
