Electrical problem
1998 Chevy S-10 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

Truck started, ran like it was out of time, backfiring gave it gas it stald. Now it dose not start at all. It has no spark, I checked the timing and it was all good.

Hi:
If you're sure if the timing chain is ok and it's still in time, have you checed the distributor to make sure the rotor is still turning when it's cranked? Also, is there power to the coil?

If there is power to the coil and the distributor is turning, you may have a bad pickup coil or ignition module.

Let me know what you find.
