Hi, I recently purchased a 97 s10 my fuel gage is goin crazy before I start it it a lil b4 the full line when im cranking it it goes to half a tank then jumps up past the full mark then stays there could that b a pinched wire or a bad ground

This info is for (gage stays at full). There may also be a buffer before the gage.
