A/C not working

The compressor will not engage.

The system holds some pressure.

I can get about 1/2 a pound of freon in

I have replaced the A/C Compressor #14/ 10 amp fuse
( it was NOT blown)

Are there any other fuses in the system? Or relays?

Low pressure switch has 3 wires/ when I jumped that plug the engine died (oops) it did restart.

Not sure what to do

Check the a/c relay located under hood in fuse block swap with another relay to see if that works. If not try jumping relay with a fused jumper at terminal 30 and 87. If compressor comes on and blows cold it is most likely electrical issue. If its not cold you may have a pressure issue.
