Electrical problem
1996 Chevy S-10 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

The fuel pump on a 1996 Chevy S10 quit working. We have replaced the fuel pump and it still does not work. What else can I check? We have also checked the fuel pump relay.

Welcome to the forum, did you check for voltage and ground at the fuel pump connector before you replaced anything? Did you check for voltage at the fuel pump relay?

YEs. The fuel pump was bad but after further testing, There is no power to the fuel pump connector. I wired 12 volts direct to the fuel pump and the pump runs but the truck still will not start. I have swithched the relay with the horn relay and that did not work. Any other suggestions?

Do you have spark at the plugs, engine cranking? You can also use a testlite and check the voltage circuits at the relay, if you want to go that way?
