I have a 96 Chevy S-10 with a 4.3 vortec engine. I have been having problems with the truck not starting. The truck will "spin over" at a fast rate but not start. It has good spark. All the fuses and relays are good; the truck ground for the fuel pump is good. I have replaced the fuel filter, fuel pump and the oil pressure/fuel pump switch that is under the distributer. When I cycle the key to the "ON" position there is no sound at the fuel pump. This is a transitional problem, as this does not happen all the time. It will run perfectly for months and then this happens, sometimes it starts with 30-min to an hour, sometimes like now it will not start at all. Any help will be appreciated

Hello, there should be a fuel pump prime connector under the hood. It is a test circuit for the pump, you don't use the key. The connector should be on the same side of engine compartment as the battery, hopefuly close to the battery. I don't have the exact location. The wire could be gray or red, should be in plain site, the wire has an electrical connector, nothing plugged into it. If you use a jumper wire with inline fuse and run voltage to that connector, the pump should run and you can check fuel pressure.
