I have a 1996 chevy blazer s-10, I would like to make it run like the cars of the 50's and 60's, is it possible to pull emmission and convert to a carberator and pull any electrical not needed to keep it running. Kinda crazy but the is a project my son and I are working on kinda like a hot rod.

Pretty much not possible on that motor. I guess I should say anything is possible but you would be better off finding an old v6 or v8! To put into the truck. There are just so many sensors and what not that you would have to bypass, that it would be cheeper buying an old 305 or 350. Not saying that it wont work but the 305 or the 350! Would be much more fun and easy. Yank the origanal V6 and put it on ebay or craigslist. There are tuns of 4x4 guys looking for that particular motor to put in there home made 4x4 or jeeps. And the money you make off the old v-6 can help with the power plant in your sons S10. Would love to see pics of your project!
