1992 Chevy S-10 no start

I have a 1992 S10 with a 2.8L fuel injection motor. The truck died on me a few times, but then started again after a few minutes. Now it wont start at all. There is no gas coming out of the injectors and I am not getting any spark. The fuel pump does run for 1.5 secnds when the key is turned on so I think the pump is ok. The code said it had a bad map sensor so I put a new one on and still no spark or fuel. Would a bad distributer also cause the jets not to fire?

Hello,

Check the ESC (Eletronic Spark Control Module) it is located in the center of the firewall and looks like this....
