I was on the way to the gas station adn it ran out of gas. I had somebody bring me some and I poured it in. I started it and it was running really ruff. It was so ruff that I had to get it towed home. I figured it was the fuel filter plugged so I changed that but it still runs so ruff that it will die if you don't sit and pump the gas. Any ideas?

Its the 2.8L v-6 with the throttle body.

Thanks,

Adam P.

Ssounds like fuel pressure is too low. Need to start by checking fuel pressure, you sho8uld have atleast 9-13 psi

Is there a filter in the gas tank that could get plugged? Or maybe up by the injectors?

There is a filter in the tank and also a filter near the power steering pump that goes to the throttle body, you can check the one by the ppower steering pump because they are usually plugged because noone changes them because its hard to get to and then go from there
