1988 Chevy S-10

I modifyed the oem air intake (cleaner) removed original and replaced with a K&N filter.
I was told at test station they could not pass it
because of this modification - Is this correct?

Hi, thanks for the donation. I have heard that whatever those inspection stations tell you, that's it, right or wrong doesn't matter. The state I live in, doesn't do inspections, anymore.

If the set-up isn't original, may not pass.
