Im getting a strange humming noise. At around 30 mpg it becomes louder then the engine. It doesnt seem to get much louder the faster I go but the pitch will change with the speed of the car. It sounds similar to having the Car in Low gear. However all the gears work and the sound won't change when I shift gears or put it in neutral. All fluids are full. Nothing shakes, and no power loss. Just the noise. Any ideas?

I had the same thing in my 02 Blazer. It is a loose bearing in the wheel. With my truck (I have a 2door) I had to pay for the entire hub that housed the bearing to be replaced b/c of the wya the factory made it. For others, though, you may be able to replace just the loose bearing for about $60. (My hub kit was about $200 without labor). To determine which side has the loose bearing, try driving sharply to the right or the left. If the sound goes away while you turn, it is on that side. For instance, if you turn shrply to the right (like on a loop from one highway to another) and the sound disappears, then it's the right side that has the loose bearing. The reason being b/c all the weight of your vehicle shifts to the left side, relieving the pressure on the right side which makes the humming go away. Hope this helps!
