1999 Other Chevrolet Models 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive 87000 miles

my car will only run the fan on high speed. The lo/ mediuem speeds don`t seem to work at all.

There is a fan speed resistor located near the fan motor under the dash. Sounds like it has gone bad

Different name but the same stroke with a blower motor resistor-Its purpose is to insert and extract resistances in the circuit to control the speed of the blower motor. Your problem is -its bypassing the resistor and you'll only have the hi speed mode-
