1993 Other Chevrolet Models Four wheel drive

I own a K1500 and my four wheel drive wont kick in I changed the actuator checked all the fuses. When I put it in fourlow the rear end will go in but the the front tires spin freely there is no power behind them. I have not taken it apart yet but, there is No grinding noise or no shake when going down the road. What are some steps too check to see what the problem is?

Hi does it work in four high? If not there is a vacum cylinder on front diff make sure you have vacum on that line hooked up if thats all ok take the cylinder off diff you can engage front diff manually if that works the vacum cylinder is bad
