My Prizm has about 124,000 miles on it. It runs good for the most part getting about 28 MPG. The car starts well and accelerates well. Recently I have noticed it hesitating for a split second while drivng. It is just a very small hesitation. No loss of speed. It started out a "once-in-a-while" thing and now happens regularly during my commute to work. I replaced the plugs and wires. No good. Then replaced the fuel pump. Still no good. Mechanic says nothing shows up on the computer scan. Any idea where to go next? Fuel pump relay?

Fuel filter replaced? What tune up parts did you use?

I have not replaced the fuel filter. Can't find it.
I used Champion spark plugs and the wires were replaced by the shop.

Unfortunatley the filter is in the tank. Throw away the Champion plugs and install A/C Delco or Autolites. If the wires arent OEM I would change those out as well

Is the filter attached to the pump? The only thing I saw on the pump was a small screen.
