I have 1977 chevy c10 p/u. The problem I am having is. It will start if I prime the carburator, but will not stay running. I have replaced the distributer, verified the fuel pump & filter are working. What else can I do?

If you can dump fuel in the carb then its' a fuel problem. On alot of these when the fuel pump is replaced it will go in but therod that operates it slips down and the pump won't pump. Check flow as well as pressure on the pump. Then if that's ok then check the carb for a bad accelerator pump or float level to low and not fillling the fuel bowl. Sometimes the float will sink in the gas especially if it is plastic a the alcohol in today's fuel eats the center out.
