1977 Chevrolet Other truck stopped running while driving

I put in an ignition in the truck last week and after starting it today and while driving it when I turned right the truck died and would not start again this happened yesterday but it started right back up I tried jumping it but nothing it also has no power to it no lights nothing.I am in the process of pulling the ignition back out but dont want to get to far if thats not what it is

The "ignition" is a system. What exactly did you replace? Ignition switch? Distributor? Please use some punctuation when you reply, otherwise that huge sentence can be read multiple ways.

"Nothing" doesn't tell us anything. Do you mean the engine cranks but doesn't start? It doesn't crank as though the battery was removed?

If you have no headlights, that has nothing to do with the ignition switch or distributor, so the battery cable connections and the fuse link wires connected at the starter are the things to start with. Do you have a test light or voltmeter?
