2002 Chevy Malibu whats the pro9blem?

My car turned off when I reversed and I have noticed the clock goes back to 1200 a few times I start it. Today when it turned off it took a few times to turn on. Also the alarm chirps like a dying chicken or won't chirp at all. Could it be my battery?

It could be the battery. The electronics today if they don't have good power they screw up easily. Besides you are going on 8 years if it's the original battery. Any battery older than 4 years is on borrowed time. No mattter what the battery people will tell you.
