Engine Mechanical problem
2000 Chevy Malibu 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 120000 miles

my cylinder head gaskets were bad so there was water in the engine and my brother in law replaced it but he didnt mark where the pushrods went so he just put them in and a few bent. We finaly realized that there were 2 sizes and couldnt figure wher they went. I need to know how to put new rods in, placement, additional steps to take like with lifters and then possibly timing. I know the torque is 14 for the rocker. Any info would be helpful. Thanks

The short push rods are for the intake valves. The long ones go in the exhaust valves.
